Construction of the Batheaston by-pass involved many construction elements, these included four viaduct bridges, one underbridge, a 70m underpass and a 110m piled road slab cast on the side of a hill. In addition to these approximately 2,000 linear metres of varying height retaining walls were cast along the 4.3km section.
